Hey guys. First order of business, I apologize for being so busy. My work at Get Involved Comedy even took a hit this week. I got a little sloppy so I apologize. Stand up took over my life the last couple of weeks and in no way am I complaining. I loved it. I have a post on the queue right now and I’ll probably write another one tonight so I may get a few posts out this week. At least one though!
Next, I want to invite you all to a few of my up coming shows. These are very cool things that I helped put together that should be hilarious. Tomorrow (May 19th) we are going to be celebrating my birthday (a little late) and Jimmy Britt’s birthday by having some very funny comedians make fun of us until we cry. It should be a lot of fun and I hope to see you guys there.

Lastly, May 23rd at 10:30PM (this Friday) Mike Keegan and I put together a great show full of talented people. It’s going to be at The Brokerage Comedy Club. I really hope to see everyone there because we worked hard on this shit. I’ve been a very busy boy. Seriously, how can you beat this show? Tom is hilarious. 2 guys named Hugh. An army veteran. A stripper and a lesbian! Holy shit. We’re going to blow the doors off of this club.

Hello. I have been busy with other things like usual. Here is a project called I Am Not Anonymous which is a movement dedicated to end the stigma of addiction. If you know someone who struggles with drugs or alcohol, have them contact the people from that website or myself and we can help you.
As for the blog, nothing going on right now.
Stand up comedy? Check my schedule. Very busy!
Other things are also happening. My silent writing partner and I are working on a few shorts and viral videos. Keep a look out.

Live at The Emporium
Here is my unsolicited apology. I have been ignoring the blog. Life gets in the way, guys. I don’t like to force the writing for this website. No one pays me for this shit. I do it because I like it. I don’t want my writing to come off like a contrived job. I have more respect for myself and you. I also wanted to see how much traffic that the site draws on its own without posting to Facebook and Twitter every day. I am satisfied with how well this blog actually does.
So what have I been up to? Making awful mistakes in my personal life, wearing pink shirts, performing stand up comedy, doing photo shoots (more information to come upon the website’s release) and doing all of the internet operations for Get Involved Comedy (big things coming in the next few months). I’ve been a busy little Hughbear. There was no purpose to any of that other than just to brag, but whatever.
Take the jump to hear a solid rant!
Crashing a town near you.

Performing to a sold out crowd in New Haven, CT
Alright, folks I am back home from the road. 3 shows in 2 days in New Haven, CT at the awesome Jokers Wild Comedy Club. We had a lot of fun but now it’s back to reality. Check out “Upcoming Events” because I have some shows coming up that you do not want to miss and have some new dates added.
As for posting, I will be back later today with some updates. I have one queued up and ready to go so it will give me some time to catch up on the writing while you guys are reading.

Thanks to the staff at The Joker’s Wild
Going through some dark times
I have been super busy lately. I apologize for my lack of updating. I have been back to performing almost on a nightly basis. It is really hard to focus on two different things that you want to put your whole heart into and that might be why I have been mailing it in with these last few posts.
Now, comedy is taking me back on the road. I will be in Connecticut this weekend from Friday to Sunday. I will be at Joker’s Wild Comedy Club in New Haven with my good friends Terry McNeely and George Gallo.
Posting will come to a stand still and there will be zero writing done over the weekend because I won’t have my computer. Plus, insanity will ensue. Enjoy the break from me and check out my Upcoming Events page for future show dates. I would love to see all of you at a show in the near future.
Via con Dios,
OH MY GOD! Hugh’s writing again!!
Welcome back to O:L. I’m your host, HDM4. I’m back from my vacation and mental tire fire. The holidays can be a stressful time, Christmas, New Years and my sister’s birthday is tomorrow so naturally, my brain was a scrambled mess and I had some serious writer’s block. What is the best way to get rid of writer’s block? Experience life. It sounds so simple but just like any Occam’s Razor type solution it is easier said than done. I run a blog on trying to find love and I was so focused on writing that I actually started isolating as opposed to keeping my mind open and going out to socialize. It was like some shitty Alanis Morissette irony. Don’tcha think?
During my absence, I collected a bunch of cool articles we are going to talk about plus some purely original content with the same brutal honesty and self-reflection that everyone has complimented me on. We won’t be changing a thing in 2014. My New Year’s Resolution? Simple. Put my big boy pants back on and stop worrying about getting saved. If anyone would like to publicly post their resolution, go ahead. We can talk in the comments section about being a better person. Well, at least we will all have a better year than James Avery.
So check back later tonight or definitely tomorrow for some new posts. It really depends on how fast I can edit this garbage.
