I have just started internet dating and truth be told it hasn’t worked out that great. I’m on Plenty of Fish which is a free site. I’ve been on maybe 5-6 dates in the 5 months that I’ve been on the site. Most of the girls that are there are just there for the confidence booster that comes with guys messaging them and complimenting them. They just like seeing that guys are paying attention to them. For Serious. It’s like they have two facebooks. Those are the girls that have like 2,000 friends on FB and double the pictures. Mostly of her in front of some shitty “Flood the Club!” back drop with a dude that calls himself T-Sizzle.
On the flip side, guys can get pretty pathetic and desperate on dating sites. I have some great examples on what NOT to do after the jump. (If you have stuff like this, go right ahead and send it to me via email Logic1147 at gmail dot com or twitpic it to @THElogic). Also, these weren’t sent to me. These were sent to a real life girl.
So there you have it, guys. There’s the advice for the day. Don’t do that shit. My advice for a message would be something like this:
“Hey. My name’s Hugh, nice to meet you. What’s yours? [Mention something you like or that you have in common] I am a [Profession]. I’d like to take you out sometime, how does [drinks or coffee] sound? Hit me back if you’re interested.”
There. Simple. Perfect. Oh and if a girl is a Met fan or a Yankee fan don’t be like:
“The Yankees suck, bro! Gay-Rod is a faggot harharhar huff Jeter’s gay derp”
Girls either don’t care THAT much or care way too much for that to work.
No cock sizes, no asshole tonguing. Just your name, your profession (if you’re proud of it) and maybe something you’re passionate about. Something that you have in common? Possible first date idea? Something quick so you can bail if they are awful. Simple, sweet. Don’t go heavy on the compliments because I’ve noticed that when you do compliment, although it is sweet and we think girls want to hear it, they usually get it often so you are just another face in the crowd. Stick out, homie.
Oh and I made all of these up for legal purposes those are all fake profiles and thanks JM for the help. Any resemblance to anyone’s profile in real life is pure coincidence.
